HOW THE MPFO RAFFLE IS RUN

Each ticket costs $5 donated to MPFO, the one political action committee dedicated to defense of liberty in Maryland. This is a front-line state, where gun control is test driven before going on the road nationwide. Help MPFO stop gun control here before it finds you there!

Gun owners anywhere (not otherwise prohibited by law) can donate by writing your check to MPFO, and mailing it to:
Mike Fleisher, Treasurer
11704 Enid Drive
Potomac MD 20854-3451

On the web, check out www.myguns.net where you can find an order form to download. Fill it in, attach your check, and drop it our way to the address above. We will confirm receipt by email to the address you provide. (We will send your receipt back if you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your check. Or you can indicate that you will use your cancelled check as your receipt to save us all the extra postage.)

The winner will be selected by random drawing after all tickets are gone, or the published deadline, whichever comes first. Since some tickets will be sent by mail as thanks for a donation, we hope donors will take post office time into account when making donations. We will keep an updated status of ticket sales posted on the internet.

1. If we sell out early, then we will announce a selection date and location with enough time for remaining stubs to trickle in.

2. If for some reason the winner chooses not to receive the rifle (for example, he may reside in a state where the prize may not be lawfully transferred), he may elect a $1,000 cash alternative as his prize. In that case, MPFO may subsequently sell the rifle with all proceeds going to the PAC.

3. The offer to participate in this fund raiser and raffle is void where prohibited.

4. The winner must eligible to receive and possess the prize, and all laws for transfer of firearms must be followed. MPFO will transfer the rifle to a valid FFL holder agreed to by both the winner and the PAC. MPFO will pay for shipping expenses. The winner is responsible for all taxes, transfer fees and other expenses. The winner agrees that MPFO's obligation and liability end when his FFL holder receives the prize we transfer.

5. Any donations that may arrive after the total number of tickets are sold will be returned (or held for the next raffle if the donor prefers.)

6. The winner's name and address may become public information. All laws concerning fund raising by a Maryland political action committee will be followed. The winner will be identified in publications documenting MPFO activities (including appearing in a photograph receiving or using the prize) as a condition of receiving the prize.

7. No officers or employees (nor the immediate family members of same) of MPFO or Tripwire are eligible to receive this prize.

8. MPFO will make a best effort to contact the holder of the winning ticket once drawn, however failure to respond to the contact attempts in a reasonable time frame (which will be no less than ten days from first attempted contact) will forfeit the prize, and MPFO will draw another ticket at random. MPFO will continue until a winner is ultimately selected and the prize awarded.
